What’s New for the 2023 BMW X1?
The 2023 X1 kicks off BMW’s crossover SUV lineup on a great note. This compact crossover’s size has increased slightly since 2022, and it is now taller, wider, and longer. The result is more cargo space at the rear of the vehicle. The exterior of the X1 also displays fresh styling at the front and rear. This includes chrome-accented, L-shaped enhancements at the corners of both bumpers. On the nose, this metal accent lines the entire lower perimeter of the bumper, and it is accompanied by a chrome outline and chrome bars on the kidney grille. The headlights are stunning with upside-down, L-shaped LED light ribbons. Across the side doors, a crisp line of definition creates a modern touch.
Inside the cabin, the 2023 BMW X1 also has been redesigned. Both the 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and the 10.7-inch central infotainment system screen are encompassed by a single glass element. Below the central display screen, the center stack has a cleaner, modernized like. The iDrive controller knob that was in the 2022 X1 has been replaced with a voice recognition system. There are several new technologies and features in the X1. These include wireless Apple CarPlay, blind-spot warning, safe-exit assist, augmented reality for the navigation equipment, a driving recorder, and hands-free driving.
Other aspects of the BMW X1 hold steady for the 2023 model year. This model is available exclusively with the xDrive28i trim. This is an all-wheel drive model with a 241-horsepower, four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter engine. This engine comes with a seven-speed, auto dual-clutch transmission.
Some of the other features that are offered in both the 2022 and 2023 versions of the X1 are Android Auto, a power liftgate, configurable cabin lighting, forward collision mitigation, and a lane departure warning. Optional features for the 2023 X1 include a head-up display, automated parking, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, an interior camera, auto-dimming side mirrors, a wireless charging pad, a sunroof, upgraded tires, paddle shifters, heated front seats, and more.
