The BMW iX, introduced in 2022, stands as a captivating option in the automaker’s expanding line of EVs. It boasts distinctive styling and exceptional on-road performance. This all-electric, two-row crossover, adorned with elite finishes and features across its two trim levels, has evolved between its 2023 and 2024 versions.
The electric motor systems in the 2024 iX remain identical to those in the 2023 version. However, a notable enhancement for 2024 is the ability to precondition the battery independently. The iX’s base trim, the xDrive50, is equipped with a two-motor engine, offering a 324-mile battery range and producing 516 horsepower. Opting for the advanced M60 trim provides a 288-mile range and an impressive 610 horsepower. Both systems feature all-wheel drive.
The striking exterior design of the 2024 BMW iX closely mirrors the styling of the 2023 model year. Comparable in size to the popular BMW X5 crossover, the iX boasts a contemporary, edgy style that stands out on the road. The crisp accent over the otherwise smooth sides and fenders adds a touch of uniqueness. The nose features sharp, triangle-shaped air intakes flanking the drop-down, kidney-shaped grille. Above the deep air vents, the segmented headlights add an element of individuality. Available exterior features for the 2024 iX include laser headlights, up to 21-inch wheels, soft-close doors, and a panoramic sunroof.
All the premium features offered in the 2023 BMW iX are retained in the 2024 iX. The base trim level includes lane departure warning, parking sensors, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, heated front seats, synthetic leather seats, and wireless connections for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Opting for the top 2024 iX trim level unlocks additional features like an interior camera, an internet hotspot, massaging front seats, heated rear seats, automated parking, heated door panels, and a Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
