Serving Mamaroneck, NY
The X7 has been the flagship full-size SUV for many years in the BMW lineup. It offers a spacious three-row cabin, powerful capabilities, premium features, and more, making it a favorite among drivers in Chattanooga. In 2023, BMW is introducing the XM, a supercar-like SUV with hybrid capabilities and a stunning design. Let’s take a closer look at how the new XM compares to the popular X7.
Performance
The 2023 XM comes with a single powertrain that combines an electric motor and a V8 turbocharged 4.4-liter gas engine. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the XM generates 644 horsepower. In comparison, the 2023 BMW X7 has two gas engine options. The X7 xDrive40i is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine that produces 375 horsepower, while the X7 M50i is equipped with a turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine that delivers 523 horsepower.
Appearance
Both the XM and X7 have distinct and attractive designs. The XM boasts a tall nose with a prominent front bumper, slit-style headlights, and a thick chrome element outlining the two-part grille. The grille and wheels have unique geometric designs, and the wheel wells are squared off. A brilliant element outlines the side windows. The X7, on the other hand, is a larger model with a three-row interior design. It has a taller roof to provide ample headroom for all passengers. The two-part grille has a classic vertical-bar design, and the sharp, narrow headlights sit over angled air vents. A thick accent piece runs across the doors on the sides.
Features
The XM comes in a two-row configuration and is available with vintage brown leather or a two-tone color scheme. It features an iDrive 8 infotainment system, a digital instrument panel, an augmented head-up display, dual screens in the center stack, and more. Both the XM and X7 offer wireless connectivity for smart device apps, a sunroof, heated seats, a multi-zone climate control system, a premium sound system, and other amenities.
If you’re considering both the XM and X7, it’s recommended to test drive both models in person. Contact BMW of Mamaroneck today to schedule your test drive.
