For 2024, BMW has added mild-hybrid technology to both gas engines. The standard six-cylinder engine now produces 375 horsepower, while the V8 engine’s horsepower remains unchanged. The plug-in hybrid system has also been retooled, offering an impressive 483 combined horsepower.

Appearance

When it comes to appearance, you’ll notice some brilliant improvements in the 2024 X5’s design. The 2023 X5 features strong, angled accents through the hood and sides, with LED-topped headlights and front air vents that have a bent accent bar. For 2024, the X5 has smoother, more linear undulations through the sides and light molding. The front has been completely restyled with two arrow-shaped LED bars in the headlights and a pair of tall gills below them. The lower fascia has a three-sided accent bar for additional differentiation.

Features

The 2024 model year introduces several new features, including hands-free highway driving assistance, iDrive eight infotainment technology, and a curved central display screen.
