The BMW 4 Series is a two-door luxury model that appeals to drivers’ need for refinement and exhilaration on the road. Available in coupe and convertible body styles, the 4 Series is touted as a sporty variation of the 3 Series sedan. In 2025, the model will display several notable improvements under the hood and with its aesthetics.

Performance

The powertrains that were available in the 2024 4 Series have both been updated with mild-hybrid tech. In the 430i, the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine features Miller cycle combustion for the first time, and it produces 255 horsepower. The M440i is equipped with a turbo 3.0-liter, inline-six engine and an electric motor. This system puts out 386 horsepower. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed auto transmission and rear-wheel drive. If you choose one of the xDrive trim levels, your 4 Series will have all-wheel drive. The M440i also comes with a Dynamic Handling package.

Appearance

The 2025 BMW 4 Series updates continue across the exterior with stunning new color options, including Vegas Red metallic and Cape York Green metallic. A carbon accent package is also now available to dress up the exterior. The 4 Series also sports an updated front fascia with refreshed headlights. The headlights taper to a point on both ends and show off two Y-shaped LED elements. The kidney-style grille also has a matte chrome finish for the first time. Two new wheel designs are available as well. The large air inlets flanking the grille and the captivating contouring across the sides are unchanged.

Features

The updates continue inside the BMW 4 Series. For 2025, the redesigned steering wheel and the iDrive 8.5 operating system are new. Other features available in 2024 carry up to 2025 without change. Some of these are wireless charging, heated front seats, a 14.9-inch central display screen, a dual-zone auto climate control system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, partially automated driving, automated parking, extended traffic jam assist, a Harman Kardon sound system, remote engine start, and more.
